Disc Comparison Chart
The best way
to determine how any of our discs will fly for you is to have a starting
point. If you have already thrown one of the discs on the chart below,
you'll be able to relate your experience to our disc ratings, and
then use those ratings to determine how our other discs will fly for
you. Click on one of the plastic symbols ( , , , , ) to visit the page for the specific disc.
Visit the Discs Home section for our grid based comparison chart.
Tournament Fund
Raiser discs are available
as part of our Fundraiser program.
Speed, Glide,
Turn, and Fade can be used to rate various aspects of
a disc's
performance.
All descriptions are based on a right handed backhand throw.
- Speed,
rated 1 to 13 where 13 is the fastest, is how quickly a disc
cuts through the air.
-
Glide,
rated 1 to 7 where 7 is the most, is
how
much "carry" or "float" a disc has.
The
flight of the disc is broken into two phases and rated individually.
-
High
Speed Turn is the first part and is
rated from -5 (most understable) to +1 (most
overstable).
- Low Speed
Fade is the end of the flight
and it is rated from 0 (stable) to 5 (overstable). Stablility describes
the disc's flight path. Understable means it turns right, stable
means there is no turn, overstable
means it turns left.
