About INNOVA's Star Plastic
INNOVA'S new Star Line is created with a special blend of grippy, resilient polymers. Star Plastic offers the same outstanding durability of our regular Champion Plastic, plus improved grip like our Pro Plastic. Star discs have the same flight rating characteristics of Champion discs, although some Star discs may be slightly more high-speed stable. High performance, longevity, and superior grip make Innova Star discs the ideal choice for your game. Star Line discs will become available in our most popular disc models during the coming year. Speed - Speed is the ability of the disc to cut through the air. Speed ratings are listed from 1 to 12. For more info on Speed, click here.

Glide - Is the ability to maintain altitude. Higher numbers mean more glide. Rated 1 to 7. For more on Glide, click here.

Turn - Tendency to turn at high speeds. Negative numbers are easier for beginners, rollers, and tailwinds. For more on Turn, click here.
Fade - Every disc will fade off in the same direction if allowed to decelerate. Higher numbers fade more than lower numbers. For more on Fade, click here.

Looking for:
More fade? Try a KC Pro Roc.
More glide? Try a Skeeter.
Faster? Try a Spider.
Slower? Try a Goblin or Champion Rhyno.
Added grip? Try a DX Shark or Pro Shark.
Other Speed 4 (large diameter) discs? Roc, Shark, Coyote, Cobra, Stingray, Wolf.

Overall, the Shark is my favorite disc. I throw the Champion Shark more than any other disc in my bag. It is the most predictable stable mid-range disc I have ever thrown. I always have at least two DX Sharks in my bag. I use this disc for turnover short shots. It is very similar to the Roc, but gets to the turnover point much faster.
