What determines which division you choose?
Availability is the first question, and then the competition. How long have you been playing? I started playing Ultimate and overall events, including golf, in 1982. I joined the PDGA in 1994, at the Masters Cup in Santa Cruz, the first year that tournament was sanctioned. Long term goals: USDGC invitation, top 3 at Worlds What is your most memorable win? PDGA Worlds 2005, my first Worlds title. What is your favorite tournament? Masters Cup is probably my all-time favorite, over the years. Delaveaga is a great, humbling course, and the view from top-of-the-world (hole no. 27) is spectacular. What have you acheived over the years? UPA Nationals Champions, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1994 WFDF World Ultimate Championships (National Teams), 1994 WFDF World Ultimate Championships (Club Teams), 1991, 1993 WFDF US Open Overall Champion, 1986 & 1996 PDGA Worlds 1995, 2nd Place Singles, Female Pro Open PDGA Worlds 2001, 1st Place Divisional Doubles, Female Pro Open PDGA Worlds, 2005 & 2006, 1st Place Singles, Female Pro Masters Japan Open (West Tachikawa, 1996: 2nd place Female Pro Open) Japan Open (Nasu Highlands, 2006: 4th Place, Female Pro Open; 1st Place, Female Pro Masters) Masters Cup, Santa Cruz, 1994 & 2002 1st Place, Female Pro Open (I won a few other times in the past, but I don’t remember which years) Advice: Don’t worry so much about throwing far, trying to keep up with the big boys.
