How long have you been playing?
6 years. Which will be out of date next year, so I'll just say 2000.
How did you get started disc golfing?
I was given a disc a told where a course was. After about five holes, I was hooked. The disc golf bug bit me and has never let go.
What is a FriZZak??
friZZak - fri.ZaK - noun
1) Is a name derived from Frisbee maniac...
2) 6 friends who grew up together in Norwalk CT and began playing at the same time...
3) ZZ son.
Who do you like to play tournament rounds with and why?
I like to play tournament rounds with just about anybody that maintains a common courtesy and is slightly unstable. The crazier the better. Thinking about your position in relation to the rest of the field will bring you down fast... get a little craaziness in the group and its just like casual golf.
When did being a pro start to mean something?
Started playing pro three years ago, and after a year I moved to North Carolina. In my honest opinion I believe cashing in NC is one of the most difficult things to accomplish. After only 4 months I picked up a win and a few top fives against some of the BIG BOYS.
What are your goals?
I want to consistently finish in the top 5.
What's your most memorable tournament and why?
MSDGC, because of the atmosphere and treatment of the players.
What are your favorite tournaments?
MSDGC, USDGC, Worlds, Charlotte Open, Sneaky Pete
What is your most memorable win?
Yadkinville (Mooky's Cup 2005) - Ace in the last five holes for a come from behind victory!
What advice can you give to other players?
Work on your footing and run up. Smooth footwork can give you extra distance without compromising accuracy
