Another Successful Championship
The 2024 United States Disc Golf Championship and Throw Pink Women’s Disc Golf Championship lived up to all expectations. The crowds were huge, the payout broke records, and competition was compelling. The course maintenance crew did an exceptional job cleaning up after Hurricane Helene, leaving Winthrop looking as manicured as any year in the past. The media coverage was comprehensive and the on-site spectator experience was the best we’ve ever put together.

Team Innova’s Ohn Scoggins and Eveliina Salonen both made the Throw Pink podium, taking 2nd and 3rd place. Calvin Heimburg shot the hot round of the tournament on the final day of USDGC to bring himself into 2nd place. The Team had aces, hot rounds, and multiple players with their best Major finish yet. What a way to close out the season.
More than a Tournament
The United States Disc Golf Championship and Throw Pink Women’s Disc Golf Championship are more than just tournaments. 2024 Championship Week featured clinics, demos, signings, giveaways, spectator courses, food trucks, craft beer carts, disc sellers from many manufactures, and so much more. Eveliina Salonen did a signing of her prerelease Signature Swirled Star Destroyers, only available at the USDGC Pro Shop. The Fresh and Now concert series kept the party going into the night with well-known, live bands taking the stage in the Village each night. It was a full-blown festival celebrating the sport of disc golf.

Ohn the Heels of Winning a Big One
Ohn Scoggins made the Throw Pink lead card every day of competition. She was 2nd in the field in Strokes Gained Tee to Green and shot -6 in the final round to pull into 2nd place overall. In her career, Ohn has earned just about every accolade a disc golfer can. Though Throw Pink isn’t a Major yet, it has that feel – Ohn has four other FPO Major podiums in the past three years. She is top of the list of most deserving players in the field yet to win one of the big ones.

Best Thrower on Tour Makes the Podium
Eveliina Salonen was in the lead at Throw Pink through most of the first three rounds. She ended the tournament in 3rd, leading the field in Strokes Gained Tee to Green and C1 Hits in Regulation.

For the tournament, Vinny led the field in C1 Hits in Regulation. He also secured his highest cash ever at $16,000.
