What do you love most about cooking?
The look on someones face when they take the first bite, tied with the ‘zen’ of being in the moment with my food as I prepare it.
What was your favorite meal when you were a kid?
My mom’s home made chicken chow mein which she called “chicken a la gush”.
If you could only have one more meal, what would it consist of?
Im sitting on a beach with a bucket of cherry stone clams, an ice cold pitcher of gazpacho, my grandmothers chopped chicken liver and my wifes roast chicken. Coffee granite and coffee ice cream for dessert with home made hot fudge on the side.
Are there any particular experiences that spark an urge to get in the kitchen?
Every time I see a perfect ingredient anywhere.
We have learned that you really enjoy playing the guitar. What kind of music do you listen to?
I listen to everything. I have over 17,000 songs on my laptop.. I just looked down at my Iphone to see the last artists I searched for so I could listen to one of their albums….
