Streak Alert

Henna Blomroos is on a roll! She has finished on the podium at the last four DGPT and PDGA Major events she has played, including 2nd place at last weekend’s 2024 Swedish Open. In the MPO, Dennis Augustsson was unstoppable on the putting green, earning 5th place in Sweden. That is his best finish at a DGPT Elite event yet.

Don’t Be Sleeping on Henna

Henna Blomroos is having a sneaky good season. Her 2nd place finish at last weekend’s 2024 Swedish Open was her fourth podium in a row at DGPT or PDGA Major events. She is knocking on the door of a win just weeks before the PDGA Major, the European Open.

Henna led the field in Fairway Hits, C1 and C2 Hits in Regulation, and Strokes Gained Tee to Green at a staggering 23.6 strokes. Henna’s -7 in the 2nd round was the hot round of the weekend by two strokes. As usual, she is driving like the best player in the world. Once it comes together on the putting green, Henna will be back in the winners’ circle.

Eveliina Salonen #1 in the World

Eveliina Salonen just jumped past her teammate Ohn Scoggins into the top spot of the 2024 DGPT World Standings. She tied for 5th place in Sweden, her eighth top 5 of the season. Eveliina was 2nd in the field in C2 Hits in Regulation, Scramble rate, and Strokes Gained Tee to Green. Eveliina already has one Major victory under her belt this year. She’ll be a favorite to take another at the upcoming European Open.

Augustsson’s Putter Catches Fire

Dennis Augustsson had his best finish at a DGPT Elite event last weekend by 45 places! He tied for 5th, leading the field in multiple key putting statistics. Dennis was 1st in Strokes Gained C1x, Strokes Gained Putting, longest average putt length, and total putting distance. He went 33/34 from inside the circle.

In the second round, Dennis shot a smoking, 1069-rated, -10 that tied the best round of the event. He went 5 for 8 from C2 and 11 for 11 inside the circle. Dennis proved that his ceiling is extremely high – if he can string together three rounds like his 2nd round in Sweden, Dennis Augustsson will win on Tour.

Onni Ruusunen tied for 11th place and was 3rd in the field in C1 Hits in Regulation. His placement has gotten better at each Pro Tour event he has played; that means a top 10 is coming next!

In his first event playing for Innova, Väinö Mäkelä tied for 21st place and led the field in Parked percentage. Welcome to the Team, Väinö!

Des Moines Challenge at Pickard Park

The players who are still in the States are heading to Iowa to compete at the 2024 Des Moines Challenge at the beloved Pickard Park. The original course was designed by 5x World Champion Juliana Korver, but the layouts the players will face this weekend have seen some challenging modifications.
