Day Two Update

Eve in the Driver Seat

Eveliina Salonen is in the driver seat of the Throw Pink Women’s Disc Golf Championship. She has a chance to win on the hallowed grounds of Winthrop where Team Innova already has so much history. In the United States Disc Golf Championship, Väinö Mäkelä is looking to make history of his own, with a chance at becoming the first US Champion from a different country. Let’s see what Moving Day has to say.

The Good Kind of Negative

Henna Blomroos is back under par for the event and back in the hunt for the Throw Pink title. She is 8 strokes off the lead with two rounds to play. It’s a tall task, but Henna has the skillset to do it. She led the field in Parked percentage in the second round.

Time to Make Your Move

Moving Day is when it becomes clear who the contenders are for the USDGC and TPWDGC titles. Eveliina has a lead over the field, but can’t take her foot off the gas. Väinö and Vinny will both have to do something special if they want to become the US Champion. For those in the Rock Hill area, be sure to get your passes for this weekend. For everyone too far to make it in person, tune in to the final two rounds live on the Disc Golf Network
