Disc Golf’s Biggest Party Begins
Disc golf’s most storied tournament and biggest celebration is underway at the Winthrop Arena. The United States Disc Golf Championship and Throw Pink Women’s Disc Golf Championship are Innova’s flagship events, so we love to see our recent World Champion, Eveliina Salonen, out to an early Throw Pink lead. In the USDGC, Calvin Heimburg is chasing his first Major win and Väinö Mäkelä is looking to bring the US title back to Finland.

Nothing is Decided After Round 1
In the MPO, 11 players are still within four strokes of the lead. The FPO has a bit more scoring separation, but with three rounds still to play at a course known for big stroke swings, an athlete far down the leaderboard could still climb back.
For those in the Rock Hill area, be sure to get your passes for this weekend. Tomorrow, Friday October 11th, is Women’s Appreciation Day, meaning all women and girls get in Free! For everyone too far to make it in person, tune in to each round live on the Disc Golf Network.
