Eight new United States Champions were crowned at the 2009 Tim Selinske US Masters Disc Golf Championships. The event was held on the Par 69 Championship layout at La Mirada on September 11 – 13, 2009. Jim Oates won the Pro Master title and held off strong competition by players, including second place finisher Steve Wisecup. Women’s Pro Master Champion Carrie Berlogar started strong and held the lead all weekend. Carrie shot a par round Sunday for the win over Anni Kreml and Chieko Kakimoto.
Gregg Hosfeld posted some excellent scores in Rounds 2 and 3 to take the win in the Pro Grandmaster division. The PDGA has announced that the US Masters will officially be renamed the Tim Selinske US Masters Disc Golf Championships in honor of long time TD and PDGA Hall Of Fame member, Tim Selinske.
